PELICANT is an electrifying Minneapolis-based indie rock band that soars on stage with raw energy, emotional intensity, and an undeniable dancefloor allure. The four-piece ensemble is lead by folk-rock hero, Samuel Wilbur, alongside virtuosic bassist Dan Knoflicek, Guitar legend Joe Heruth, and explosive drummer, Luke Barrett. After hatching, Pelicant quickly carved its niche in the local scene, and has since captivated audiences with their punchy, guitar-driven melodies, infectious hooks, heartfelt lyrics, and powerful live performances. FIELD TRIP began as a musical experiment: What would popular songs from the late 1900s sound like if they were played by us? Could we hit the high notes on Whitney Houston’s cover of the Queen of Nashville’s ‘I Will Always Love You’? What would happen if we blend the theme song from the hit 1980s film Back To The Future with the erotic stylings of Marvin Gaye? To this day, we still ask these fundamental questions, and also why Andy continues to be the way that he is.

For us, music is about the search for possibilities. As Tom Petty once said, “the future was wide open,” and for Field Trip, it is. It truly is.
