Guest artist, Alison Attar, and Alverno faculty, Linda Nielsen Korducki, present a recital of elegant music for flute and harp. The program opens with J.S. Bach’s beloved Sonata in E-flat Major and includes a harp and flute sonata by Madame Zoe de la Rue (a contemporary of Beethoven) newly arranged by Alison Attar. Also included in the program are Vaughan William’s lyrical Six Studies in English Folksong, the atmospheric Song of the Lark by Charles Rochester Young, Chopin’s Variations on a Theme of Rossini and three strikingly beautiful arrangements of Japanese Folksong.
