The Milwaukee Marathon is Back and Has Exciting New Additions to This Year's Race.
The Milwaukee Marathon is an adrenaline packed day where racers have the choice of one of three options to run. You may participate in a 5k, a half marathon, or a full marathon. The race starts and ends at the Milwaukee Bucks Fiserv Forum Entertainment Center. Gather here to find your race group and get ready for an action-packed day. What better way to celebrate the beginning of spring than joining thousands of Milwaukeean's racing through the 414?
Race Details:
The 5K
The race begins at 6:30 a.m., starting at the Fiserv Forum and will run down Lake Michigan's Waterfront. Once runners approach the Milwaukee Art Museum they will turn around and head back to the Forum for the finish line and festival following the race.
Half Marathon
The race begins at 7:00 a.m. and will start at the Fiserv Forum. It then will head across the Milwaukee River and through the heart of downtown Milwaukee, over Lake Michigan waterfront and will loop back around through Marquette University's campus.
Full Marathon
This course is a Boston Marathon qualifier and takes you across town. At 7:00 a.m. start at the Fiserv Forum, head down Lake Michigan Waterfront, Lake Park, Washington Park, Marquette University, and Wisconsin Avenue. After this you'll be ready for your free beer that comes with registration and a Bucks win.
The After Party
Hopefully the race didn't tire you out too much, because the Bucks entertainment center will be filled with food, drinks, music including an appearance from the Milwaukee Bucks drum line, the Milwaukee Bucks dancers, the Milwaukee Bucks Hoop Troop, and the Bucks mascot Bango. Stick around and watch the Bucks game at one of the great restaurants in the entertainment center, just outside the forum.
